The TetraPond GreenFree 9 watt Ultraviolet Clarifier (UVC-9) provides permanent control of suspended algae which cause undesirable green water. Includes a high efficiency UV bulb with an 8,000 life (11 months of continuous operation). A stainless steel insert provides a reflective surface that increases UV exposure. It also prevents internal degradation of the plastic housing. A convenient viewing window makes it easy to ensure that the unit is functioning properly. Heavy algae blooms are removed in most ponds within 8 days, keeping water clean and green-free. This means that water clarity is improved, while simultaneously reducing the amount of required pond maintenance. This compact unit is durable, energy-efficient, and easy to install. Includes a 3 year limited manufacturer's warranty. Weatherproof to UP54 standards.

The UVC-9 is designed for use in ponds up to 1800 gallons and fits 3/4", 1", and 1-1/4" tubing.

How it Works:

1) Pond water containing green water algae (single-cell algae) is pumped into the clarifier

2) Ultraviolet light destroys single-cell algae's ability to reproduce.

3) Single-cell algae dies, clumps, and is removed by external filtration
