We know the kelp in this new product is fresh because they harvest it themselves. OmegaSea (Omega One) is one of two companies in Alaska with permits to harvest fresh kelp along the rugged shoreline of Southeast Alaska. Loaded with essential minerals and nutrients, this same kelp is also harvested for human consumption. You will notice that the color of these veggie round sinking discs are a much richer green than other comparable products. This is because Omega One doesn't skimp on the "good stuff". Fresh, natural fats, low in ash and never clouds water! Rich in omega 3 & 6 HUFA's and color enhancement comes from pigment in salmon skins.
