A little too strong a suction to gravel vacuum fine substrate (Ii have Flourite Black and always have to put some back in the tank after water changes) but the self starting feature is worth every penny of the $6 or so price.

I got this for my 10-gallon tank. Nothing complicated about it - just give it a good suck to get started. The suction is good enough to get a lot of build-up out. It works well for both emptying an refilling my tank - no more messy spills!

Not much to say, works great, as expected, wish it was a little bit longer for my % gal so I don't have to dunk my whole hand in, but does a great job!
